The preservation of Wild Salmon Habitat and Indigenous culture is the cornerstone of all of EPC’s Habitat Protection projects and campaigns.
Building on over 25 years of demonstrated grassroots success, EPC continues to defend and preserve the region's ecosystem by monitoring proposed development projects and policy (both state and federal) by utilizing outreach and awareness, advocacy, and actions to unite the region's voices for sustainability.
EPC’s Habitat Protection programs are politically timely and promote sustainable, community-based solutions that have far-reaching impacts. All of EPC’s activities and campaigns are simultaneously raising awareness and action to reduce the serious impacts of climate change and concurrent ocean acidification. EPC actively supports the democratic and inclusive grassroots organizing movements of communities impacted by these environmental changes, including such efforts on tribal lands that connect local concerns to broader, worldwide systemic issues.
